At the grand opening on Tuesday, September 7th by Chancellor Angela Merkel, she announced that IAA MOBILITY, the world’s largest mobility fair, is sending important signals for a climate-neutral future of mobility this year.

IAA MOBILITY celebrated a successful premiere. Around 400,000 visitors from 95 countries found their way to Munich to experience and discuss various areas of mobility with 744 exhibitors and over 900 speakers.
This year’s IAA MOBILITY was as complex as mobility itself. The new concept created undiscovered possibilities. The professional core found its place on 250,000 square meters in the halls of Messe München. In addition, the city center was transformed into an eventful venue that made mobility tangible.
The future of mobility has never been so present and obvious: In addition to visionary concept vehicles and alternative drives, Urban Air Mobility was also well received at the IAA MOBILITY. The exhibitors from this application area also included brigkAIR as part of the Bayern Innovativ GmbH booth. Service providers, institutions and small and medium-sized companies came together at the joint stand. All of them pursue the common goal of recognizing trends and initiating new developments.
brigkAIR is part of the digital start-up center brigk, but is still a separate startup incubator specializing in three-dimensional mobility. Urban Air Mobility refers to the expansion of urban transport systems into the airspace. brigkAIR offers an accelerator program for startups developing vertical mobility solutions. Startups and project teams have an optimal test environment as well as highly focused technological competence and market know-how relating to all kinds of autonomous vehicles, including drones, air taxis, corresponding hardware and software as well as related business models and services.
The fact that urban air mobility is becoming more and more popular is demonstrated on the one hand by the range of numerous national and international exhibitors such as the German Aerospace Center at the IAA MOBILITY 2021 in Munich. On the other hand, the demand was also evident. brigkAIR welcomed Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs Hubert Aiwanger to its stand on the first day of the fair.

On Saturday, September 11th, brigk was managing director Dr. Franz Glatz part of a panel discussion, initiated by Invest in Bavaria, on Marienplatz in the heart of Munich. The panel discussed how cross-industry innovations are shaping a unique ecosystem for reinventing mobility in Bavaria.
At the IAA MOBILITY 2021 in Munich, it became clear once again that the Ingolstadt mobility region is a location capable of development that will continue to break new ground in the future.
